Daniel Varela is a gemmologist and expert appraiser of fine jewellery and watches, working since 1984. He was an appraiser and buyer for Casa Escasany, Joyería Ricciardi, Schiffini (Mar del Plata), Vendemmia and other renowned Argentine jewellers. That background lets him read a piece properly: hallmarks, metal purity, the quality and cut of the stones, the craft of the setting and its real value on the international market. We do not outsource trust: he examines every piece himself.
The team is completed by his secretary, who looks after clients. Daniel junior — the second generation — assists with the appraisal of inherited jewellery and heritage pieces.

How we receive you

Private meeting in a separate room
We reserve a closed space, without walk-in foot traffic or shop window, so you can show us your piece with time and discretion. If you arrive accompanied, your companion is also welcome.

Physical inspection in front of you
We use a certified scale, a 10x loupe, a touchstone and an XRF spectrometer when needed. We weigh the piece, identify the purity of the gold, read the hallmarks and assess the stones. We explain every step.

Value explained in plain language
We show you how we reach the price: weight, purity, quality of the stones, craftsmanship and the day's international quotation. No jargon, no promises, no 'internal' prices. If you are better off keeping the piece, we say so too.

Payment on the spot or consignment
If you accept, we pay in cash or by immediate bank transfer. For very high-value pieces we may offer consignment (we sell it on your behalf and pay once it closes). You decide without rush.
